Welcome to the Lake Sutherland House: A lakefront vacation rental home where you can plan on a variety of outdoor and inside activities.
The Lake Sutherland House is situated 17 miles West of Port Angeles, on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Day trips from the Sutherland area stretch from a visit to Victoria, Canada to the Washington Costal areas. Hurricane ridge is within a half hour drive and is great fun in the winter or summer.
There are two homes, side by side, that complete The Lake Sutherland House.
The main home, a 2400 square foot, three level home has three bedrooms and two baths, plus an additional outside shower. With two king sized beds, one double and two futons, it provides ample sleeping for ten people.

High Season: July 1- September 14. During high season, the homes must be rented as one unit. A seven night minimum visit is
required during high season, with a cost of $500. nightly, to accommodate up to 10 people. Additional people of all ages are charged
at the rate of $20. per person, nightly (or daily). (Note: There are enough beds to accommodate up to 14 people, but extra charges
apply after 10 people). 10.2 % tax not included in the above cost. All Major Holidays, including Presidents Day, Memorial Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the week surrounding Christmas and New Years require a three - seven night minimum, depending on which
Holiday and are also considered High Season.
Low Season: September 15 - July 1 (except holidays). This home, economically is an excellent choice for larger groups during the
off season . Cost for these homes, as one unit (together) - $375. nightly, for up to ten people. Two night minimum required.
During low season, the homes can be rented separately. The rate, in this case would run $225. nightly, housing 6 people for
the larger home. The smaller recreation home can accommodate 4 people, with a cost of $150. nightly. Additional people are charged
at the rate of $20. per person, nightly (or daily). Please be aware that the homes are close together and not as private when you rent
separately. The dock is to be used by the larger, main home only, when the homes are rented separately. A two night minimum visit is
required during low season.
Pets are welcome to join in the fun. There is an additional $15, per pet, per night charge.
Canoe Rental : If you want to use a canoe, it must be rented for every day of your visit and must be reserved at the time of
booking. Cost is $10. per day, per canoe.

The large kitchen includes features such as a Jenn-Air Cook Top with all attachments, built in blender / mixer, instant hot water, an ice maker, as well as all common appliances, dinnerware and cookware. Washer and dryer are on site.
Picnic just outside of the kitchen - with a large deck that provides a charcoal barbecue and outside furniture. (Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid). Another picnic table is located on the large dock.
Don't forget to sit in the spa and gaze at the stars. The spa overlooks Lake Sutherland and can be enjoyed in the summer or wintertime.
The intercom / sound system provides music throughout the home, or can be limited to separate areas.
On the lower level, through a sliding glass door, adjacent to the dock is a wet bar. Here also is where you can cozy up to a beautiful soapstone wood stove and enjoy a movie from the TV/DVD/Video player.
The master bedroom, on the upper level is a very special room, with a sliding glass door to its own balcony.........a perfect place to sit and take in the view.

Boat Rentals are available from June 1 - September 15. Canoes are also available, with Kayaks coming soon.
THE AREA
There are many hikes around the area. A favorite is The Spruce Railroad Hike. (Also a great bike trip). It borders the back of Lake Crescent and is located about 5 miles from our home. The area surrounding the home is also private enough that you can just go for a nice walk or bike ride right from there.
Boat and Canoe rentals are available through Discovery Lodging. Renting a kayak to enjoy while your at the home is also a fun idea and can be reserved from Olympic Raft and Kayak, located about 15 minutes away. Ski Boats will be available by summer of 2005. Many other fun activities are also near-by. We have a little "Sites to see in the area" page that we would love to share with you. Please just ask and we will e-mail it out the same day.
