Are you looking for one of the most incredible views in Maine? Are you looking to feel the salt air rolling through your bedroom window? Then you have found your destination in the Coast Cottage.
While this cottage does allow up to 4 people, please note, there is only one bedroom, and the idea of the 2 additional people is that they would be children who don't mind using the pullout couch.
Located at Waterman's Beach, just a few minute drive south of Rockland, the Coast Cottage is a spectacular vacation retreat. Lobster boats moor just off the beach in front of this property. Enjoy visiting the lobstermen when they come in with their fresh catch, and maybe even swing a deal to buy a few fresh lobsters and bring them back to the cottage. However, if cooking lobster isn't your thing, then the world famous Waterman's Beach Lobster is right next door.
The Coast Cottage is for mature individuals looking to relax and enjoy the unbelievable beauty around the cottage. There is a great kitchen with all the appliances and dishware to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. The kitchen dining table faces right out to the ocean. There is also a nice sitting area with a telescope just off the kitchen where you can get a closer look at what is going on out at sea.
Off the kitchen/dining area is the one and only bedroom in the cottage, where you can lay in the queen bed and stare far out to the islands of the Mussel Ridge Channel. Behind the dining area is a living room with a pull out full sized couch/bed. There is also a television with DirecTv satelite service.
A relaxing clawfoot tub completes the bathroom that is located near the back of the cottage.
This property is great for honeymooners or a small family with older children.
Also, just off the property is a bed & breakfast owned by the cottage owner.

Within 20 miles of the Coast Cottage are a variety of attractions, museums, and restaurants. We will gladly recommend places to dine or provide any other information about the area that may be of interest.
100 yards from the Coast Cottage is a seafood lover’s delight – The Waterman Beach Lobster House, specializing in lobster dinners, lobster rolls, steamers and crab rolls. Homemade pies are offered each day. Guests can eat on the deck overlooking lobster boats, seals, schooners, and sail boats.
Rockland is right nearby as well. Enjoy daysailers, kayaking, fishing trips, one of the best lighthouse museums in the world, the Farnsworth Art Museum, or the recently restored Strand Theater that has live shows and music throughout the summer.
Rockland is world known for the Maine Lobster Festival in early August each year. In addition the North Atlantic Blues Festival, the Maine Boats & Harbors Boat Show, and many other events throughout the summer will draw your attention.
If getting away is your desire, within 20 minutes you can be hiking the Camden Hills, exploring Owls Head Lighthouse, relaxing on a beach, or sailing across Penobscot Bay on one of the state ferries to visit the islands of North Haven & Vinalhaven.
