This beautiful bungalow cottage is actually an original Sears Robuck home from long ago. Very comfortably furnished, this cottage is a very short distance from Camden Village. With the largest yard on the street, the property is a perfect summer retreat for anyone looking to spend a week or more in Camden.
Downstairs is a comfortable living room, dining room, and kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of space to cook. A laundry is in the basement.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, two with queen beds, and the 3rd a single bed, good for a child. A clawfoot tub/shower completes the upstairs.
There is a front porch on the street side as well as large open deck and garden at the back of the cottage.

The Camden/Lincolnville/Rockport area is rich in outdoor activities, great dining opportunities, relaxation, and fun events. There are so many things to do in the area that we can’t possibly list them all here, but we do want to share some of our favorite things to do and see.
We believe everyone should make a reservation as soon as they arrive at their property for a dinner at The Edge in Lincolnville. This spectacular restaurant has one of the most incredible views of any restaurant in the state of Maine. While a dinner for two may be in the $125 range with a bottle of wine included, it is well worth the price. The food is incredible and the whole experience from walking on the wooded trail to the restaurant from the parking area, to the golf cart ride back to your car after dinner is truly rewarding.
Hiking, swimming and boating are three of our favorite things in the area:
When it comes to hiking, most tourists head up the easy 800’ trail to the top of Mount Battie overlooking Camden Harbor, and others head up Maiden Cliff overlooking Megunticook Lake. However, we think the views from Beach Hill in Rockport are just as spectacular, and Beach Hill is better suited for a picnic lunch, in addition to being a short hike than anyone in the family from age 1 – 90 can enjoy. The open fields of the summit, capped by Beech Nut, a sod-roofed stone hut, are visible from miles around. Built in the early 1900s, Beech Nut was recently listed on the National Historic Register and is soon to undergo some renovation in order to preserve its structural integrity. The Coastal Mountain Land Trust owns Beach Hill and continues to manage the fields as an organic blueberry operation. Be sure to bring a pail if you hike it in August so you can pick plenty of great tasting free blueberries!
We think the two best places to go swimming in the area are at Ducktrap in Lincolnville, and at Megunticook Lake in Camden. Ducktrap is best at high tide, just after the tide has turned and started to fall. The warmer Ducktrap River feeds the ocean at that time, so it isn’t quite as cold as swimming in the ocean, yet you get to enjoy all the feelings, sites and sounds of swimming in Penobscot Bay. Swim across the “trap” and explore the 200 year old graveyard with Revolutionary War soldiers just up in the woods.
Again, these are just a couple of the hundreds of activities in the area. Consult with the Camden-Lincolnville-Rockport Chamber of Commerce to get more information on other activities in the area
