With a great beach, this wonderful property in Cushing with incredible views is a perfect vacation destination. Named for the bald eagles that frequent the property, Eagle Watch is within viewing of two bald eagles nests (summer of 2007). The large flat yard is perfect for volleyball, wiffle ball, or any other family activities. The beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing, and the location is private.
Entering the house, there is one full bath and bedroom with a queen downstairs. A lower level leads to a large open living room with cathedral ceilings and great views of the water and the boats passing by.
The modern kitchen and dining area are large enough to support your vacation culinary needs.
Upstairs, a large master bedroom with queen and a 3rd bedroom with bunks and a full size bed allow space for the younger members of your family. We can provide extra portable bedding to provide more accommodations for the children in your group.
At the end of a private dead end road, this property includes many amenities including a great gas outdoor grill, bikes, games, and a small rowboat that converts to a sailboat to explore in.
There is a washer/dryer in the basement as well as internet access.
The Eagle Watch is a short walking distance to The Olson House made famous world-wide from the Andrew Wyeth painting of Christina’s World. Even non-art lovers will enjoy visiting the Olson House and it's true-to-the-Maine Coast feel.

Recreational opportunities abound in the Cushing area. Kayak in the protected St George River or, for the more adventurous, on the open ocean a few miles away. Day trip to Acadia National Park, Mount Katahdin or to the many whitewater adventures of Maine. Golf at several local courses including The Samoset Resort in nearby Rockport with world-class golf club and tennis facilities.
The Eagle Watch is just a short 10 minute drive from Thomaston, and a 25 minute drive towards the towns of Rockland and Camden.
There are many activities in Rockland to enjoy. Take a daysail, kayak, or enjoy a fishing trip. One of the best lighthouse museums in the world and the Farnsworth Art Museum are well worth a visit. Or, visit the recently restored Strand Theater that has live shows and music throughout the summer.
Rockland is world known for the Maine Lobster Festival in early August each year. In addition the North Atlantic Blues Festival, the Maine Boats & Harbors Boat Show, and many other events throughout the summer will draw your attention.
If getting away is your desire, within 25 minutes you can be hiking the Camden Hills, exploring Owls Head Lighthouse, relaxing on a beach, or sailing across Penobscot Bay on one of the state ferries to visit the islands of North Haven & Vinalhaven.
