Historic “Evenkeel” in Leland
This charming and one-of-a-kind home is an historic
barn conversion much like those found in England. It
sits on more than an acre of manicured lawn, gardens
and woods. Flagstone patios at different levels off the
main floor are surrounded by perennial gardens,
furnished with chairs and tables and a large charcoal
grill for those late evening cookouts.
Three bedrooms, plus a daybed in the upstairs den and
a small sleeping loft provide comfortable sleeping
accommodations for as many as eight people. The
master bathroom boasts a two-sink counter and warm
small red flowered wallpaper. The upstairs bath has a
ceramic tile floor and there is a half bath across from
the “wet bar” on the main floor. Guests may gather for
conversation in the living room, games and TV or
reading in the comfortable den on the second floor or
they may seek cool comfort in the family room in the
basement sinking into the couches for viewing a DVD.
Those fortunate enough to choose this unique abode
for their vacation can walk, bike or motor less than a
mile to Leland’s beaches or shopping in Fishtown. A
stay at historic “Evenkeel” with its many large and
architecturally designed windows promises a vacation
that will spark imaginations and fulfill dreams.
All bed linens, bathroom and kitchen towels, paper and
soap products are supplied. This home is available in
July, August, September and October by the week for
$1200 and by the night for $200, a three night
minimum required. It is for non-smokers and the
owner will accept a well behaved and mature dog.
