Originally built in 1925 in the Never Summer Wilderness area, this authentic log cabin was moved to its present location on eight beautiful acres right on the Colorado River. It's close enough to the river (and a great fishing hole) for you to throw your line in the water from the deck that surrounds the cabin, and just wait for the fish to bite.
The cabin itself has been updated with remodeled bathrooms and kitchen, but decorated to keep its original charm. If you are looking for a new, modern home with satellite TV and internet service this probably isn’t the place for you. If you would like to enjoy a genuine cabin experience with your family, or with another couple, this place is ideal.
The second bedroom is completely separate from the main cabin so there is lots of privacy. It would also be a lovely spot for a personal retreat. A new covered deck creates an additional outdoor room to enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife (moose come frequently to munch on the willows by the river) or a cookout on the grill.
Shadow Mountain Lake is right across the road, Rocky Mountain National Park and the charming town of Grand Lake with its wonderful restaurants are three miles up the highway. Please come and enjoy!
