BIG CANOE is an 8000 acre gated and guarded mountain community that is the premier mountain get-away in the Southeast. First Class is every aspect: Championship Golf, State of the art Health Club, 3 stocked lakes, miles of hiking and Jeep trails, and so much more. You need a month to see it all.
WE WERE GOING TO ADD ON TO OUR HOME, BUT HAVE DECIDED TO PUT IT OFF. THEREFORE WE ARE RENTING AGAIN, AND HAVE PLENTY OF SUMMER AVAILABILITY. LET THE BERRY PATCH BE YOUR VACATION HOME!
Our home is a high quality, three-level, exposed beam home located in a beautiful mountain setting. The wood interior and a stacked stone fireplace put you in the 'mountain mood' the moment you walk in. Located only five minutes from boating, golf, tennis, swimming pool, hiking, health club and lots more, you can find plenty of things to keep you from relaxing in the spa, (if you must).
Watch the deer, wild turkeys, and occasional bear from one of the many porches.
This is an ideal couples retreat for a romantic getaway, but
with bedrooms on all three levels and living rooms on two levels, our home is also great for multiple families or just to separate the kids from the grown-ups. We even have single beds in two walk-in closets (with windows) for children.
TVs and VCRs in every bedroom and both living rooms make every room an entertainment center. Twenty-four hundred square feet of heated space and another 1325 square feet of covered porches and open decks. Outdoor spa, Ping-Pong table, slot machine (token operated), indoor golf green (roll-up type), video library, and games make this home a wonderful place to spend your vacation.
But, then you step out into Big Canoe and experience this unique and beautiful mountain retreat. Eight thousand acres of beauty and enjoyment, all inside a guarded and gated community. You will not want to leave.

Weeks that include Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's
are rented at High Season rates. Holiday weekends are High Season.
Two-Night Minimum. But sometimes we fudge.
$200-$400 refundable security deposit required.
LAST MINUTE WEEKEND SPECIAL (If not rented by Noon on Thursday) $100 off!
A $100 cleaning fee is added to all rentals.
