Southwind is a Luxury Vacation Villa located in the Mafolie Estates section of St. Thomas overlooking the main harbor of Charlotte Amalie.
The home is nestled in a mahogany forest among other upscale homes 850 feet above sea level.
Southwind contains 3,500 square feet of interior space and 3,000 square feet of exterior space.
Five bedrooms and four baths can comfortably accommodate 10 to 12 people.

Southwind, built in 1967, was completely modernized and redecorated in 2001.
The kitchen is completely new as are the baths.
All the furnishings are new and exhibit a look and feel of a Caribbean home, not a rental villa.
Entry Level
The new kitchen contains a 5-burner gas range top, double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a side-by-side refrigerator with icemaker.
The counters are corian with tile backsplashes. The plentiful cabinetry contains all that a well-stocked kitchen should.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a pantry where the washer and dryer are located for your convenience. A gas grille is located immediately outside.
Entry Level Continues
The Southwind terrace connects the kitchen, outdoor dining and the living room, which is comfortably and tastefully furnished.
The living room opens to a den that contains a cable TV and VCR.
Three bedrooms and two baths are on this level at opposite ends of the building for privacy.
Pool and Third Level
The pool level contains one bedroom and bath and a large sitting room that opens onto the pool deck. This room is equipped with a wet bar, icemaker and cable TV/VCR.
The fifth bedroom and fourth bath are located on the very private third level.
Almost every room including the kitchen has harbor views.

St. Thomas offers a myriad of activities.
Beaches
One of National Geographics' "ten best beaches", Magens Bay Beach is 10 minutes by car down the north side of Mafolie hill. The broad beach with warm, calm water is seldom crowded. All beaches on the island are accessible to the public and most have water sports equipment available for rental.
Shopping
St. Thomas is a favorite shopping haven for some and one visit will tell you why. The hustle and bustle of Charlotte Amalie is set in a complex of 200-year-old warehouses built from the rubble ballast of the ships sailing between the Americas and Europe.
Ice cream stores and coffee bars offer a cool respite from the activity.
Dining, Golf, Boating and More
A full range of restaurants from casual to sophisticated are also available for dinner in town and around the Islands.
Nearby Mahogany Run boasts not only an excellent restaurant, but also a challenging world class 18-hole golf course played recently by the vacationing President.
Boating and sailing are available in many forms. We have included a private, full day sail to St. John in our package, because we think it is a 'must do' on any St. Thomas vacation.
